Church Flooring
A very exciting commercial flooring project we worked on included the decorating and floor replacement for St. Mary’s Church in Walsgrave, Coventry. The decoration project involved bringing the beautiful, old building back to its former glory and improving the ambience and atmosphere in the church.
Once the decoration was complete, our team of experts moved on to the next stage of the project which was to replace the floor which had been down for 30 years. Being an old building, there were significant sub-floor issues which needed fixing. Flooring preparation included timber gullies replacing and the alter steps repaired, all before laying the new floor. With the repairs completed and the new floor laid, the church looks fantastic and back to its former glory.
The client selected a durable contract carpet called ‘Tretford,’ made from natural goat hair. This choice aligned with the church’s design and provided a long-lasting floor covering that would endure for many years. This flooring provides several benefits over oiled flooring, including ease of cleaning, avoid scratching, lower maintenance costs, and being more durable.
Education Flooring
An area of business that we have carried out a lot of work in is education. This includes work for Coventry University and local colleges, carrying out lots of school flooring projects, and flooring works for academy schools. Education providers need to look clean, modern, and inviting to attract students and keep them engaged. As such, they require high-quality flooring options at a competitive price.
